Online Lectures (Lectopia, previously known as iLecture)
For some of your subjects, your lecturer may have arranged for the lectures to be recorded. You will be able to access the audio recording from your subject presence in the LMS. In some cases, the lecturer will allow you to download the recording as an MP3 file. For some lectures any visual presentation may also be captured and streamed and sync-ed with the audio. Recordings are usually available 1-2 days after the actual lecture. To listen to the audio recording, you must install QuickTime Player 7 on your computer. These recordings are intended to help you with revision during the semester, or to review previous lectures as preparation for the end-of-semester exam. Part-time students, or those with difficulties, will be more able to keep up with lectures. Note: Lecture recordings are not a substitute for attendance; rather they're designed for revision. Information will be given to you at the start of semester on accessing the recorded lectures if the service is available for the subject.
