As a University of Melbourne student, you have access to a web hosting facility allowing you to publish up to 5MB of data.

To create or edit your web site, use an FTP client to connect to

ftp://ftp.student.unimelb.edu.au

You will require a username and password to connect. These are your Active Directory (student domain) credentials. The username must be supplied in the form " student\yourusername". Your password is the same as you use for central University IT services such as the email system. This procedure will take you straight to your directory. - you do not specify a path.

Your home page should be named index.html and will be visible using

http://www.student.unimelb.edu.au/username/

where username is your account name that you used to log in.
