Lift scanner lid and place original document face down on the scanner glass. Close scanner lid. Open scanning program by double clicking HP PrecisionScan Pro 3.0

Preview image by clicking on Start a new scan icon.

Select the area of the image you would like by clicking and dragging the mouse over the area.

Finish the scan by choosing Scan To. or Save As. icon. 1. Scan To: Allows you to scan to your selected destination
2. Save As: Saves the image under your selected file format from the drop down menu
If you choose .jpg format, you can click on Options to adjust the picture quality of the scan to change the file size. This is useful if you want to keep the file small enough to send as attachments in emails.
